Adam graduated from Northumbria with a First Class master’s degree in law. He trained at a local firm in Gosforth before spending five years at a practice in Chester-le-Street, where he went on to lead the property department. He joined Gibson & Co in 2022. Adam advises on a wide range of commercial, residential and agricultural property transactions, including leases, sales and purchases, refinancing, bridging loans, auctions, adverse possession, asset sales, licences, and development options. Originally from East Yorkshire, Adam comes from a legal family background, with his father practising in corporate recovery and property litigation. As a property investor himself, Adam understands the local market and what makes (or might undermine) a sound property investment. He takes a pragmatic approach and is quick to identify alternative solutions when challenges arise. He is known for his honesty, innovative thinking and thoroughness. Adam leads the property department in our Newcastle office. He brings a meticulous and solutions-focused approach to every transaction. When not working, Adam enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He lives in the North Tyneside area and is on the board of trustees and core leadership team of a local Church, where he also drums, preaches and leads a regular small group. He’s yet to decide whether his specialist subject on Mastermind would be Stamp Duty, the 03/04 Arsenal Invincibles, or biblical theology.
