Nick was a director at RJR Solicitors, who merged with Churchers solicitors in 2022. Nick is now a partner within our Commercial Team. He is a born and bred Islander – but grateful for time spent on the ‘North Island’ and overseas for broadening his horizons. The older reader may remember his father Tony Gale, also a local solicitor (but with another firm!). A degree in Mathematics & Computer Science from Bristol led him to a job in computing with BP. But after doing the required conversion course and then the Law Society Finals he qualified as a solicitor in 1993 in Yeovil. Nick (now with family) returned to the Island in 1998. Outside of work Nick’s time is spent running three times a week, singing with Wight Harmony Barbershop Chorus (baritone), keeping track of his three, now adult, children and he is also the long standing treasurer for 2nd Ryde Sea Scouts.

Very helpful for the second time
I am extremely grateful to the firm for arranging an appointment so quickly and to Nick for his professionalism and efficiency. We were kept very well informed from the outset and, after a couple of years of trying to resolve our matter ourselves, it was sorted within a few days. I cannot thank him enough for his hard work and expertise and also for being so approachable and able to explain, in simple terms, what the problem was and how to resolve it.
Recently he has helped us with a completely different matter and, again, the experience was very positive.
I am very impressed with this lawyer and this firm and would be confident to recommend to anybody.

Conveyancing of properties
The recent conveyancing work carried out by Dixie and Nick at Churchers was conducted professionally and in an understanding manner. All parts of the process were clearly explained with regular communication throughout.
Costs were outlined from the start and questions promptly answered.
All in all, the smooth transactions removed any worries that we may have had.

Sale of land
I found Nick Gale to be 100% in every aspect. His advice, knowledge and in particular his communication, be it by phone or email was excellent. He kept me updated every step of the way and answered every query. It was a challenging and frustrating transaction but Nick dealt with it very professionally when no doubt he must have had steam coming out if his ears! I would thoroughly recommend and use him again. 10/10, thank you.
