Smooth process but a bit over-zealous
HC were able to over a competitive price for the conveyancing, I assume as they were acting as conveyancing solicitor for many clients in the same development. The process was completed well by the apprentice paralegal with no undue delays. The lease guide was particularly useful as it summarised the main parts of the lease well. I was assisting my daughter to buy her flat but unfortunately HC then insisted on a Capacity confirmation, and presented a high fee if I were to do this via themselves. I instead went to our GP who provided the necessary letter without problem for a nominal fee. I felt this was a bit over-zealous of HC and can only imagine it was a way to increase revenue.

Excellent from start to finish
I was in a time pressured situation to purchase a new build home, with a strict deadline. From the first time I spoke to HC, they were absolutely excellent - all queries answered straight away, communication was great - everyone I spoke to (Mary-Jane, Emily, Jessica) knew their stuff & did what they said they would do. We ended up being in a position to exchange earlier than we had to be, because HC were so on top of the legal work. I would be happy to recommend them for conveyancing.

Exceptional service and communication throughout the purchase

Generally very good service
In general my experience with Herrington Carmichael has even very positive. There was a problem initially where documents I sent either were not received or went missing. This may have been because my initial point of contact was on vacation.
Post that, all my contact has been good with the staff being friendly and helpful and I would recommend them.

Excellent solicitors from start to finish.
We used Herrington Carmichael to sell our old house and buy our new house. The service provided was friendly and professional throughout the process. We were kept informed and any queries were answered very quickly.
I also used Herrington Carmichael to write my will, set up a declaration of trust and my powers of attorney. This services was also excellent. The ladies were very professional and friendly, and kept me informed of every stage of the process.

Sincere Gratitude
Having reached the decision to downsize to a smaller property after 42 years at the same address, we were somewhat apprehensive. But the advice and support we received from Roisin Pinkney helped us through what was at times a protracted and frustrating experience.
