House Sale

I cannot rate my experience of the house sale any higher than 3 stars - because it took 7 months to complete and we did not have the same person looking after our file throughout - which was frustrating.However , in mitigation, most of the issues were beyond Barrett’s direct control.Things only got really moving once Iqra took over the file.If this review was solely about Iqra - then it would be an easy 5⭐️. She has a “can and will do” attitude coupled with excellent professionalism. If I sold another house through Barrett’s - I would insist on her doing the conveyance work. Thanks Iqra for getting the deal over the line - very much appreciated.

Barretts handled the sale of my Mother's house but I am afraid it was a disappointing experience. Expensive and unresponsive most of the time. Things finally improved towards the end of the transaction when a locum solicitor took the case over.
Also I had asked for help relating to an investment trust and after multiple chasing on my part, still no one got back to me, even to say they couldn't help.

Wills/Trusts and Probate are a specialist area for our firm. We have nationally recognised experts and also specialise in contested probate and Inheritance Disputes. We also help clients with Lasting Power of Attorney. Employment law is an area where see many clients use our services. For any employment problem, the initial advice can often result in thousands of pounds of extra compensation. Family law, divorce and separation and all issues relating to settlement agreements and child access are covered by our family team. Conveyancing is handled by our in house team with expert knowledge of the Thames Valley. We offer a genuine bespoke service that is highly valued by clients. Employment law, for both individuals and companies, including contracts and settlement agreements is an area that we have great expertise in. Litigation and disputes is an area where we also have a dedicated team. Our services start from simple letters requesting payment to a full representation role at court. We offer flexibility to our clients so that they can find the legal services that suit them, whether fully represented by us or on a basis where we do some of the work, but the client does some too. The best way to get started is to book a 1 hour consultation for £95 which enables you to get the advice you need without committing to the full service, until you know exactly what you need.
