Our sale of a property had some additional matters to be dealt with, and we were pleased with the information and the clear advice we were given.
Clare acted in a prompt and timely manner, answered the few queries we raised and showed empathy of our position. We will happily recommend Clare to those seeking legal advice although no doubt she may recommend a colleague if the matter is not a speciality she is best able to deal with.

I used Ashton's services years ago and was very satisfied. More recently I used another firm on the advice of a friend. This turned out to be a very bad decision. I ended up fighting a high court action which I lost. Looking back at it, it was clear that these lawyers just played my anger in order to maximise their fees.
When I recently required legal support, I turned to Ashton's again. Micael Frape was assigned to advise me. I was adamant that I wanted to sue my ex-business partner but Michael very calmly advised me, that as things stood, I would just be wasting my money. This made me step back and reassess the situation. His advice was certainly not what I had expected, but it was good advice which I heeded. I asked him to put the matter on ice for the time being. Michael was happy to keep the file open, so that we can reengage when we reach a point where it is worth taking legal action.

My company was legally threatened over a matter which initially we thought was both unfair and without basis. As the action went on it became clear that the claimant was perfectly serious even though the case was essentially baseless. Michael settled the matter through mediation and beyond doubt limited the impact on our business significantly. Although we ended up paying some money to the claimant it was significantly less and was in the end proved to be a nuisance claim. We thank Michael and his team for all their hard work on the matter.

Michael Frape of Ashtons Legal provided excellent service in handling a professional negligence claim for me. The claim was very important to me, and Michael did a highly diligent and thorough job of putting together and pursuing the initial stages of the claim, with the appropriate level of attention to detail, always dealing with the case personally. Michael adapted his fees to reflect the nature and size of the case. Michael was then forced to relinquish the case on grounds of the economics, but he gave time in completing the final stage before the handover to my new solicitor and did everything he could to ensure that went smoothly. Eventually a settlement of the case was obtained and I will always be grateful for Ashtons Legal's part in this.
