I was introduced to the firm by the National Free Wills Service via a charity I wished to support. I had an initial appointment with Laurel Martin where we had an informal chat about my circumstances and my wishes and ideas for how I want my estate distributed after my death. Laurel was able to advise and guide me through the process, particularly on matters I had not considered. My will was drawn up and sent to me to check the details after which I had another meeting with Laurel to sign the documents and have them witnessed. The whole process took just over a couple of weeks (partly because I was away for a few days) and I am very pleased with the service I received.

We have experienced the same issues that others have encountered when using Gamlin for property purchases: a lack of communication, unanswered emails, and unreturned phone calls. This has only made an already challenging process even more difficult. We were assured that the exchange would proceed as planned and given a specific date, but at 7:20 pm the evening before the exchange, we were informed that additional documents would be required. I strongly advise against using Gamlin as a property conveyancing solicitor for anyone in a similar situation..
