House sale

I had the most awful experience with Battens solicitors in Sherborne.
Myself and my two sisters had to sale our mother’s house after her death.
It was the worse experience ever, everything took forever and the communication was just not good at all.
I would never recommend anyone to use them. I would tell them to stay away.
And most definitely not worth the money.

Excellent. Solicitors are generally not a great profession. Lacking in initiative, lacking in positivity, often greedy, and inefficient to boot.
Battens are not in this category at all. From my limited experience I would say they do an excellent job.

I would not recommend this solicitor. My true experience has been that unfortunately my grandmother in her vulnerable state has still not received her money after 2.5 years that she should have inherited from her ex partner. Our families emails are ignored, our calls missed, their promises and their self imposed deadlines broken and we would question the duplicate charges that have been put through charging us for when they send us duplicate documents so I would query if we are not being charged twice for a number of things. My nan has not had her money still. Every email we send them asking them when they are going to do what they have agreed costs us an enormous amount and is never actioned satisfactorily. For the amount of money we have been charged as a family, i don’t consider it value for money. After this matter has been resolved, we will be going with a different solicitor. I ask that they please do better in the future.
