Dealing with parents estate
Just awful! From the start we had to ask for updates constantly on how the probate was proceeding. Nothing got done unless we phoned asking them fir updates. They lost our Mothers death certificate which we had personally delivered and insisted we obtain a new one (at a cost of 40 pounds) accepting no blame and no offer to reimburse the 40 pounds. They held on to hundreds of thousands of pounds on the sale of our parents estate saying they had to wait until all bills were paid and were waiting to hear from the utilities company.
We ended up phoning the utilities company ourselves to be told the solicitors had been given the amount owing and should have paid everything weeks before (the amount owing being 51 pounds!!!) We passed this amount along to them ourselves and demanded the immediate release of our funds which took another 10 days to be processed! Not impressed by any means. They made the process of handling our parents estate a nightmare for 10 months!!
