Good afternoon Daniele, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are very sorry to hear that you have not been satisfied with the service received, particularly from Lisa. We take your comments incredibly seriously, particularly with regards to feeling as though Lisa was not inclusive. Most of our clients are first time buyers, and many of our clients do not speak English as a first language. As such, we work very hard to ensure that the language we use, and the documentation we provide are inclusive of everyone (where possible, of course). Please rest assure that we will review your comments and the communication between yourself and Lisa, both via email and telephone to see where this issue began and work to improve in the future. With regards to the updates regular updates are not guaranteed as, depending on the speed of 3rd parties involved, there can be times where there has been little to no movement, as such, we simply cannot provide regular updates to advise that there has been no update. we advise this to all of our clients at the very beginning of the process, and again during the process as well. We will always provide an update when there is one to give, and we will always give an update whenever one is asked for (as was the case with your transaction). the timeframe provided at the beginning is simply an average estimated timeframe, this is not definitive or set in stone and completion can be sooner, or it can take longer. Unfortunately its not possible to advise as there are many parties involved who all have an influence over the speed, not just us or your sellers solicitor. Again, we do advise this at the beginning of the process to ensure that your expectations are managed appropriately. with regards to your transaction, there were delays, which you were kept informed off and we explained why these delays were happening and who we were waiting on in order to proceed. Although it can feel a bit odd, being passed to new departments, we have found that what this allows our staff to be able to focus on the specific elements of the transaction that they specialise in. This also therefore frees up the solicitor to focus on the legal work that needs to be done, as this means that they are not having to focus on developing quotes for new clients, handling compliance, and being monopolized by completions. Completions must take precedence over other files, to ensure our clients do not end up breaching their contract and so having a dedicated Completions team mean that our solicitors don't have to stop what they are doing to handle those. We are very happy to hear that this worked for you, and even though you started off a little uncomfortable, we were able to convince you otherwise by the end.
