Highly recommended

I have used ADKIRK LAW and Linda Kirk for over 10 years.
I would highly recommend this firm. Linda Kirk has completed many properties for us.
She is absolutely amazing at keeping us informed of the progress of our sales and purchases. We have had some complicated chains which Linda has always one step
ahead, always professional and a true problem solver.
We can’t thank you and your firm enough.
Very thorough, and we wouldn’t use anyone else.
We even refer our friends and family to ADKirk Law.

Brilliant from start to finish. I had a million questions but Hannah was always quick in replying to any queries I had and was only ever an email away.

Complicated and lengthy but efficient and kind!

Linda was incredibly kind and quick to respond to enquiries (no matter how daft or trivial!) All the team were helpful when I phoned and emailed. It was very nice to actually speak to a human when things were fraught and tensions were high. Everyone was very understanding and communication was good - eve when it was an ‘we don’t know yet’ or piece of string answer.

House conveyancing

Lack of communication throughout the process. Delays, unkept promises and changes to the person we were dealing with, with no reason given. Made a complaint at one point that was ignored. We have finally received the final documentation for our property, 10 months after we purchased and moved in. Used Adkirk as they were recommended by our mortgage adviser, based on this recommendation we will also not be using them again.

Decent conveyancing

Bit of a shake start but ultimately the lawyer handled the case well. My seller wasn’t an easy counterpart.

Buying my first home was a big step, and I’m so thankful to Joanne Jessop for making it such a smooth and stress-free experience. She explained everything in simple terms, kept me updated, and was always quick to answer my questions. I felt completely supported from start to finish and would definitely recommend her to other first-home buyers.

They are overworked and have too many cases to deal with. My advice is don't add yourself to their queue of case files.

For the cost I would definitely avoid using Adkirk for helping you sell or purchasing a property. Their lack of communication was appalling and left me without any updates for weeks at a time and required me to chase repeatedly for an update.
My first property fell through due to some legislation that made it difficult to secure a reasonable mortgage and took 8 months. The second property I had to buy third party info myself instead of just informing me of an additional cost to remove me as an unnecessary middle man. Even after my apartment sale has gone through I am now getting radio silence from them after they have taken a not insignificant sum of money from me to pay some initial third party fees that they still haven't paid 3 weeks later causing this third party to chase me for them instead.

Had our conveyancing file passed over to Adkirk Law over 4 months ago; that’s 18 weeks.
What has happened since then?
Nothing.
Absolutely nothing.

Not a call, not a single email response, not even a courtesy message acknowledging my case has even been looked at.

If you value professionalism, responsiveness, or even the most basic level of customer service, I suggest you go elsewhere.
This has been an embarrassing display of incompetence and disregard.

About this branch

Description

Rachel and Linda met in 2010 when working at Stephensons Solicitors. They recognised in each other an integrity and work ethic that ultimately led them to making this big decision to open their own Law Firm together. They both believe that clients deserve the best possible service from their solicitors at all times and that can be no excuse for poor service. Their reputation in their respective fields is a tribute to this. They are both honest, hardworking lawyers with a flair for clear thinking.
