New mirror wills - Maxwell Hodge, Formby.

Needed to update our mirror wills. ( Last done 10 years ago with a different legal firm ).

Dealt with two members of staff, Ciara Furey ( Solicitor ) and Beth Harvey ( staff ). Both were always professional, friendly and helpful. Helpfully Ciara explained about inheritance tax ( with was not on my radar), and the tax implications re myself and my partner, who have lived together for 18 years but are not married.For tax reasons we will be considering marriage or civil partnership and understand we will have to make a new will. Will we use Maxwell Hodge in Formby again?, yes we will.

We used this solicitors for both sale and purchase conveyancing over the last 6 months. We found their communication fairly slow and, at times, almost dismissive. Of greater concern was multiple miscalculations on stamp duty and documents either not being sent to us or gone missing at their end. Seemed to be nice enough people but probably understaffed. Wouldn't be using again.

Wouldn’t trust this company as far as you could throw them, taking additional fees with no prior acknowledgment, entitled, ignorant, and quite frankly a useless company. Our family wishes we dealt with the estate alone after the dealings with Maxwell Hodge.
