Helen Rule and Mari Gordon have been easy to contact, always double check information with me and update me when processes have been completed, always following up with an email. Grossly inefficient. My only request was to pick-up a Will, yet this was such an extended, drawn-out process.
It’s remarkable at how slow, inefficient and glacial solicitors move.
I would say, that they were exceptionally friendly, however I would forgo friendliness for expedience.
I’d go with an online provider for anything you need.

Cherrie was so friendly and helpful, but also very professional. Because of my husbands physical problems Sherrie made home visits which was of enormous help. She was a ray of sunshine.

Cherrie Powell has recently prepared Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA's), for both Property and Financial Affairs and for Health and Welfare, for my Father.
Cherrie was extremely patient, respectful and courteous throughout the whole process with my father who is 93 years old. Cherrie took the time to explain the process in detail and ensured that he understood the significance of the LPA's.

Sherrie drew up my husband and my wills some years ago. We needed to update them so we returned to Sherrie as we had been very satisfied with her earlier service. This time around the experience was just as good. Because of my husband's health problems Sherrie made a visit to our home which was a huge help. I recently used JCP Solicitors for a residential purchase that wasn't what you would call standard or straightforward. The service that was provided was superb and it was professionally delivered by both Helen and Mari.
I was kept well informed throughout the process and when I had queries they were responded to swiftly. Being able to visit the Caerphilly office and have Helen walk me through the vast amount of documentation left me feeling assured and confident that I was in good hands and that nothing had been overlooked.
I was additionally impressed with the level of due dilligence that was undertaken during the purchase too. I look forward to working with Helen and Mari in the future and would highly recommend them.

Legal aspect of my interactions were fine, solicitors take ages because there's always another solicitor on the other end who is slow.
Other aspects however..
They will request you to drive to their office in Caerphilly, because there are no client rooms in Cardiff (not as if these were salubrious though, I could have just signed a piece of paper in the foyer in Cardiff for the same level of comfort) not only is this out of the way, they will charge you for the privilege. Perhaps pen ink is expensive? I didn't get to keep the biro either.
When you are finished and pay your final bill, you should expect to receive threats of interest for overdue payments they have added onto your account 5-6 months after the fact.

JCP and Heather in particular were absolutely fantastic during our house move in July 2020. We were having a disaster with a previous firm, which was causing months of delays. We instructed JCP and Heather came in late in the day to save us. Heather was amazing in getting everything sorted and most crucially, kept us in the loop throughout which was so reassuring.
