Used to purchase my first house. Sam and Caroline were brilliant explaining the process when I wasn't sure. Always responded to my emails very quickly. Even gave me great advice when the sellers didn't complete on the day they were supposed to due to there solicitors.

Instructed these guys through conveyancing index. Reviews seemed relatively good. Maybe I just got the bad colleagues ? I'm.not sure but I'm almost 5 months into a basic transfer of equity.
The hoowla app they use is all but useless without them updating it. They ignore your multiple emails asking for an update weeks apart. I'm absolutey appaled at the service I'm currently receiving. Last email I received was "update you later today" 6 days have no passed with no update.
I would strongly advise you look else where for your legal work/advise

Despite acting for me for a property purchase for almost 6 months they pulled out due to an issue about flood risk. The apartment I eventually purchased when I swapped to a different legal company is a first floor one and the river is at least 10m below the ground floor level!! So to flood the apartment it needs to rise about 20m.
My new solicitors had to start from scratch and completed the entire purchase in just 6 weeks.
Nataly herself was great but the company was USELESS

Do not use this company, avoid at all cost! Worst company I have ever had to deal with in over 40 years!
Over the of purchasing my apartment I had 4 different solicitors dealing with it, so the whole thing took far longer than it should have and due to the delays it cost me an extra £2000 rental cost.
Calls were not returned and communication was very poor, (this was prior to the pandemic), the use of their Hoowla system was next to useless as they did not bother to update it. When asked for things they did not appear blaming it on the Hoowla system.
I complained to the MD and was told if I didn't like the service to go else where, not very helpful, if I had gone else where I would have lost my property.
Definitely not recommended at all!

I've been using Baker Ashley's HR service for at least 4 years in my business. I have found them to be very knowledgeable and helpful. They have helped me navigate my way through some difficult situations always explaining risks and positives of different approaches. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
