Following what I considered neglectful treatment by the NHS, I was fortunate to have made contact with Liddy’s Solicitors Ltd for an initial telephone consultation regarding the treatment I had received from the NHS. I was able to fully explain the circumstances around my treatment and why I considered it to be an issue of neglect. I spoke with Kevin Liddy who carefully considered the information I had provided and agreed that there appeared to be a case to be pursued.
Kevin was very clear about the terms of Liddy’s ‘no win, no fee’ and should my claim be successful, then what proportion of the settlement would contribute towards my costs and what proportion of the settlement I could expect to receive. Therefore, from the outset, I was very clear about the terms and conditions of asking Liddy’s to act on my behalf. This was also followed up with an email from Liddy’s confirming the conversation we had.
This set the seeds for a very trusting solicitor/client relationship. I did everything that Liddy’s requested and Liddy’s kept me fully informed of the progress of my claim – which included helpful and supportive advice, copies of documents, records of discussion with the NHS, reports from independent consultants and copies of my medical records.
As a direct result of the highly efficient process (which has taken almost three years), Liddy’s achieved a positive outcome for me, with the NHS finally agreeing an appropriate settlement in relation to my negligence claim.
It is without doubt that the highly professional team at Liddy’s, their excellent communication, efficient and highly professional practice achieved a positive outcome for me. Overall, a five-star experience. I can recommend Liddy’s to any prospective client without reservation.
