Excellent help provided throughout

From the moment of arrest all the way until sentencing was over, Jas Thiara has shown me utmost kindness; she has been very clear throughout each step of the process of what to expect and is an absolute credit to the profession. At no point did I feel lost in terms of the legal process and she was always happy to answer any questions I had, even when it involved calling me at yh end of what I could imagine a very busy day. Her help has been life changing and her knowledge of the law very impressive.

Martin (and Parveen) treated us with respect and were not judgemental. This was important, particularly for Emma, who was criticised by the DBS and Social Services in a biased, inaccurate and wholly unfair manner. On paper the appeal was unwinnable given the extreme and predujuicial views forwarded by Social Services.
It was important that we felt that Martin was on our side, which he demonstrated by his support that he was.
Martin was largely responsible for preparing the appeal with the support of Parveen. Martin was professional and diligent and produced a stong document. It was largely down to Martin that the appeal was successful. Martin was contactable and took on board suggestions that we put to him.
We are grateful for his commitment.
We also appreciate the input of Parveen.

We would suggest two matters that could be improved. These are not intended to be critical, but areas the firm might consider could be improved to enhance services. Firstly, Martin was ill for a around a week and a half during which time we were unaware of what was happening giving rise to concern that the deadline for appeal was rapidly approaching. Someone at the firm should have informed us of what was happening and reassuring us that matters remained under control. Secondly, the review by Parveen was not completed until a day or so before the deadline. This gave little time for our final review.

Overall we are very pleased with the work of Martin and Parveen and they are to be congratulated for a successful outcome.

Absolutely stunned by Mr Siddique's attention to detail, providing huge relief to me I did not have to 'relive' / explain very traumatic experience. Overall a mixed experience using Alsters Kelley. We decided to use these solicitors for conveyancing during our house purchase and to sell our own house. Sometimes communication was good, however there was many times we had to chase 2/3 times before receiving a response. The search results were back for 2-3 weeks before we received them, we had to chase multiple times for these. We also received an email with a moving date suggestion, with our solicitor saying they would be ready to exchange and complete on that date, and to arrange a quote for moving companies/make arrangements. We did this and emailed and called in the lead up to this date, but didn't receive any communication until after the date had passed.

We were given our final bill to pay before completion, and we immediately paid this. However on our exchange/completion day, having already loaded the van and moved all our stuff out, we got an email telling us they had calculated the amount wrong and we needed to send another £1000+ as soon as possible or else we could not go ahead with completion!

We have had contact with both our buyer and seller since moving house and both have said that they received information from their solicitors that the process could've been faster but was held up by Alsters Kelley.

It's disappointing that our experience differed so much from the many good reviews on here, but based on our experience we would not recommend Alsters Kelley and wouldn't use the company again.

I was in a tricky situation with getting some house purchase documents signed and witnessed. Sarah booked me an appointment in their Coventry office following an initial call with her which was friendly and helpful. During our appointment, Sarah was welcoming, extremely friendly, personable, and professional. She went above and beyond what I'd expected and I felt I was in very good hands. As a first-time buyer, it's been quite a daunting process, but Sarah made this small but important part simple and pain free. I also had a lovely conversation with the office's front-of-house/receptionist. Overall, a brilliant experience!
