I phoned up to enquire about some specific legal services. The receptionist / admin person clearly didnt understand what i was asking and was very abrupt. She wouldnt put me through to anyone and said she would ask for me. She came back and said no, I said she hadnt understood what I was asking but she repeatedly refused me services with a 'no'. I said I wanted to ask about x and could she put me through to someone about thse services and she just hung up on me. So I guess that was a no ! So rude and unnecessary in a customer facing role. I called back and managed to get through to someone else. However I was advised that just to even consider if they could provide me with legal services for a family matter would involve an hours consultation chargable at £150. I am not paying that just to discuss what services they could provide to me (at further significant hourly rates). By this point I had enough and rang a different solicitors firm who spoke to me straight off to discuss the outline of my case and how they could represent me ....... and I was not charged for that initial converation. My advice is to not go to Waldrons based on my experience.

We just needed an ID3 to lodge with HMLR. Their fees were most reasonable and the service was excellent. They were so nice and easy to deal with.
I approached other firms, and was given duff information and would have been charged more.
I recommend Waldrons services without hesitation.

Don’t bother with Waldrons if you need them to actually defend you and then proceed to withhold critical evidence from you when it had already been requested. Avoid especially when you are a male victim of abuse and your abuser has told multiple lies. Multiple things had gone unread and there was a distinct lack of knowledge around abuse, they didn’t even know what an ISVA was.

I've been through 5 attempted property purchases with only 2 successes and Sophie at Waldron's was by far the most effective and helpful solicitor I've ever had.
She kept us informed every step of the way, copied us into correspondence, chased people up for answers, and warned us of potential issues - always with a range of options to help solve them.
We couldn't have been in better hands.

The firm was founded in Brierley Hill in 1867 by William Waldron. He practiced in the High Street from offices by the old police station. It was the year that the US purchased Alaska from Russia, Wilbur Wright was born and Nobel patented dynamite. Our firm is older than Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s and the BBC, and is one of the longest established law firms in the country.
