Yaseen is a Solicitor in the Commercial team specialising in data protection (privacy) law (DPA 2018, and UK and EU GDPR), dealing with matters including (but not limited to) drafting and advising on privacy policies and complex data sharing and controller-processor agreements, providing data protection training, advising on data breaches, advising on international data transfers, and advising and responding to data subject access requests. Yaseen has experience advising a variety of clients in the private and public sectors, including product manufacturers. He has a particular focus, however, on assisting clients in the Education sector on complex data protection matters. Within this, he acts in the role of virtual Data Protection Officer (DPO) and legal support to DPO’s for a number of clients including academy trusts. Yaseen previously trained and qualified at an international commercial law firm, with a large national presence, before joining Forbes in September 2024. He developed experience in cybersecurity law and cyber breach response matters, bringing this experience to Forbes.
