I have re-joined Wollens as a member of the Childcare Team having experience in this field of law of over 16 years.
I represent parents in pre-proceedings (PLO) with the local authority and within complex care proceedings through the Family Court as well as advising grandparents who seek to care for their grandchildren.
I also represent parents who face allegations of physical, sexual and emotional abuse of their children, with parents dealing with mental health issues, alcohol and drug dependency and with parents who have learning disabilities or learning difficulties.
I have experience in representing parents who require the added support and representation from the Official Solicitor and who would be considered a protected party. This can be quite complex and require attuned representation but is something that I particularly enjoy within my role as a parent lawyer.
I undertake my own advocacy at meetings and at Court hearings.
I have also built up excellent working relationships with barristers specialising in this work, along with other professionals such as psychologists, psychiatrists, intermediaries/advocates and support workers which enables me to form the most appropriate support and advice network for the parent that I am assisting.

After worrying of who to represent myself in family matters, a google search of Woollens came to my attention. Woolens being ranked in the top 3, I taken my chance to ask for their help.

Family matter

Exceptional Service
Cate and Rachel have been assisting me for the last 4 years on an extremely complex case, They were both extremely helpful, understanding, caring and patient at all times. I would not use any other Solicitors than Wollens. My calls and emails was always responded to promptly and whenever I spoke to the team they never rushed me and they was always so helpful.

Excellent
Cate Jewell and her team were super amazing. Cate was excellent and very professional. She was very supportive and gave me profound advice. Would recommend her to anyone who is in family court as she is the best solicitor ever. I enjoyed working with her as she understood me and never judged me.

Brilliant Solicitors
I was lucky enough to have Kate and Rachael represent me and both Kate and Rachael were amazing.
