After separating with my ex partner I was left in a world of limbo, not understanding what I was entitled to, with my child often being used against me in certain situations, I was just very confused and in desperate need of guidance.
I approached Katie Beaven at Birketts, and she helped me understand and navigate the complex world of child access, she is an absolutely fantastic, first class lawyer, who also made me feel very comfortable and a lot more confident in my situation. I can’t thank her enough for all of her help.

As a long-time customer, I was initially nervous when I heard that my previous contact was retiring, but Krishma not only met my expectations—she exceeded them. I was amazed at the level of detail she applied to my application, ensuring a successful outcome. This is our second time with Shibli helping us buy/sell our home. She’s like no other Solicitor - always responsive, helpful, communicative, friendly - we just can’t recommend her enough. We have used other solicitors in the past and have experience of them on the other side of the transaction and there is no comparison. The usual frustrations and delays just don’t happen. Shibli was highly professional and excellent with communication from our first telephone conversation until after the property had sold. Our sale was complicated as it became apparent throughout that previous solicitors instructed during conveyancing and especially for a lease extension process had not been as efficient as they should have been and as a consequence this created problems that needed navigating. The service management company in particular and the buyers solicitor were also slow to respond and needed constant chasing for replies.
I would highly recommend Shibli and her team. Her assistant Jamie was also helpful and excellent with communication on the day of completion. By far the best solicitor we have ever instructed and would put others to shame.

So very considerate and devastatingly effective

Our transaction had come unglued, our previous solicitors had withdrawn (apologising for their repeated errors), about six weeks wasted and we are no longer young enough to be that resilient.

Victor Meldrew? "I cannot belieeeve it!"? That's me, mostly.
Trying to downsize our lives after waiting perhaps a bit too long.
Shibli was able to reassure me and plan a route through to a satisfactory completion, despite some tricky online misinforrmation from the authorities on the planning permission status of our house-to-be, that is now our house! Sorted!
So very pleased with the unfailing communication, her excellent team, and her ability to deliver on every commitment. Flawless. Thank you, Shibli!
