I went to see George Orton for advice on a delayed flight claim being too busy to mess about with BA and the constant shifting of email addresses who and where to contact myself .
George Orton was thorough and did everything necessary on my behalf to claim my compensation .
Boys and Maughn solicitors in Margate are there to help advise and take the stress out of your case . They are transparent in all aspects of your instructions . I would recommend both George Orton and Lucy Brown from Boys and Maughn to assist you and take the anxiety out of your case .

Long and Complex But Finally Happy

It's been a long Conveyancing process in part due to the property being a partitioned 1870's Shared Freehold flat with a Lease, in part due to the end on April 1st, 2025 of the Stamp Duty Land Tax holiday, with higher percentages kicking in, which caused a rush to buy ahead of this date and a glut on Conveyancers desks.

But as I say All Is Good that Ends Well and my best appreciation for the terrific job being done by Boys & Maughan's solicitors and aides, with huge patience vis-a-vis us Buyers agonies, huge lists of queries, and misunderstandings due to our ignorance.

A pleasure and we will recommend your services.

Thanks forever.

Long and expensive

It was our first experience of working with solicitors. We didn't realise how expensive it will be, every little email would be charged and often we were not confident to ask for clarification as were afraid of being overcharged. Our solicitor was professional and knowledgeable, her secretary was professional and friendly. In the future we'll not use this firm again. We are thankful for the services provided.

In short, George is an exceptional solicitor who (and in my case) demonstrated a calming voice during a high-value commercial matter. Richard Robinson was appointed to help sell my flat. I knew starting that it wasn’t going to be a simple process as a similar flat in the same development had been going through the sale process starting around 9 months earlier and had not completed.

Richard was very good a giving me regular updates, replying to emails and calls and explaining what the technical terms meant. We did run into significant road blocks along a way around a unresponsive management company where both myself and Richard chased up managing to get the required information where the other mentioned flat was not able to.

This would’ve been a 5 star review however after exchange and the day before completion Richard informed me that the help to buy equity loan side had been overlooked and not completed. I was able to get a valuation carried out the next day and Richard chased help to buy customer service as was able to complete just a day late. Richard was very apologetic and reduce my legals fees by a fair amount in compensation unprompted.
