Direct contact, clear communication, professional and efficient

Used Napthens for my recent staircasing application to go from shared ownership to full ownership of my existing property. Sally and her assistant Greg were amazing throughout the process, with clear and concise, direct communication, in a timely and consistent manner. Planning to move to a larger property in the future and will definitely be looking to utilise their services again. 100% would recommend.

Jamies Insightful and Pragmatic Commercial Advice

Jamie is quite literally the most incredible lawyer that I have ever met. Pragmatic advice, sensible opinion and knowledge which is much broader than his purely commercial hat that he wears. He completely understands what we are trying to achieve, of what Titanic needs and provides some pretty frank and blunt advice when required. For a bloke who was brought up in Stoke on Trent and is a little bit nervous, Jamie manages to calm me down quite often and gives me the confidence to make decisions in all aspects of business. Jamie really is the ultimate commercial lawyer and has worked incredibly hard for us as I know he does for everyone, and I know that because I have introduced him to a number of people that he has given the same service and quality to, that he has to Titanic. My abiding memory of Jamie was having a pint with him in the Strangers Bar in the House of Commons and quite literally, as anybody is who goes into that building, blown away by the surroundings We were having a conversation with an MP for about an hour, and I was thinking well that went well and we had a great conversation. As we walked away, Jamie pointed out that the bloke hadnt asked any questions about me, him or how our businesses were, how anything was going. Its that kind of insight that really makes Jamie the very best.

A Devastating Experience with Napthens Solicitors – No Accountability

Title: A Devastating Experience with Napthens Solicitors – No Accountability, No Justice
Negative Rating!!!!

I turned to Napthens Solicitors for legal support—what I received was negligence, conflict of interest, ignored instructions, and unauthorized billing. My experience spanned over a year and culminated in Napthens withdrawing from my case after causing significant damage.

They shared my late husband’s death certificate with opposing counsel without informing me.

They missed key deadlines, failed to enforce settlement terms, and let critical agreements lapse—all while charging me.

When I raised a conflict of interest, they refused to reassign my solicitor, dismissed my complaint, and billed me for complaining.

I had a £0 balance when I formally objected, yet they continued to act without consent and added new charges before withdrawing.

I was left to file my own strike-out application because they neglected to challenge a baseless claim.

All of this occurred without regulatory intervention—the SRA and Legal Ombudsman have yet to act, despite being made fully aware.

After 20 documented examples of misconduct (all posted publicly here: https://x.com/MY_Property_UK/status/1923493082579730790), I’ve paid the price in time, money, health, and trust—and no one has been held accountable.

I do not recommend Napthens to anyone seeking competent, ethical, or client-centered legal representation.

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience when using Napthens as my conveyancing solicitor. Sally Calvert, in particular, is outstanding at what she does. Highly effective, efficient, incredibly thorough and overall a pleasure to work with. Be prepared she gets straight to the point and takes no prisoners but this approach is always in the best interest of the clients. When things get tough, which they invariably do, she’s great to have on your team!

My wife Francesca and I recently had the pleasure of working with Karen Cockburn at Napthens Solicitors for the purchase of our first home. We cannot express enough how incredibly grateful we are for her exceptional service and support throughout the entire process.

From the very beginning, Karen made what is often a stressful and complicated journey into an incredibly smooth and manageable experience. She took the time to thoroughly explain each step of the process, ensuring we fully understood what was happening and what to expect next. This transparency was invaluable and greatly eased our minds as first-time buyers.

Karen's patience and responsiveness to our numerous enquiries were truly commendable. She never made us feel like a burden and always provided clear, concise, and reassuring answers. Her ability to keep us calm and confident, even during the more challenging moments, was a testament to her professionalism and dedication.

Thanks to Karen's expertise and unwavering support, we felt secure and well-guided from start to finish. The seamless experience she provided has left a lasting impression, and we are confident that we have found our solicitor for any future needs. We wholeheartedly recommend Karen Cockburn and Napthens Solicitors to anyone in need of legal assistance, especially those navigating the complexities of purchasing a home.

Thank you, Karen, for turning our dream of homeownership into a reality with such ease and grace. We look forward to working with you again in the future!
