Jamies Insightful and Pragmatic Commercial Advice

Jamie is quite literally the most incredible lawyer that I have ever met. Pragmatic advice, sensible opinion and knowledge which is much broader than his purely commercial hat that he wears. He completely understands what we are trying to achieve, of what Titanic needs and provides some pretty frank and blunt advice when required. For a bloke who was brought up in Stoke on Trent and is a little bit nervous, Jamie manages to calm me down quite often and gives me the confidence to make decisions in all aspects of business. Jamie really is the ultimate commercial lawyer and has worked incredibly hard for us as I know he does for everyone, and I know that because I have introduced him to a number of people that he has given the same service and quality to, that he has to Titanic. My abiding memory of Jamie was having a pint with him in the Strangers Bar in the House of Commons and quite literally, as anybody is who goes into that building, blown away by the surroundings We were having a conversation with an MP for about an hour, and I was thinking well that went well and we had a great conversation. As we walked away, Jamie pointed out that the bloke hadnt asked any questions about me, him or how our businesses were, how anything was going. Its that kind of insight that really makes Jamie the very best.

A Devastating Experience with Napthens Solicitors – No Accountability

Title: A Devastating Experience with Napthens Solicitors – No Accountability, No Justice
Negative Rating!!!!

I turned to Napthens Solicitors for legal support—what I received was negligence, conflict of interest, ignored instructions, and unauthorized billing. My experience spanned over a year and culminated in Napthens withdrawing from my case after causing significant damage.

They shared my late husband’s death certificate with opposing counsel without informing me.

They missed key deadlines, failed to enforce settlement terms, and let critical agreements lapse—all while charging me.

When I raised a conflict of interest, they refused to reassign my solicitor, dismissed my complaint, and billed me for complaining.

I had a £0 balance when I formally objected, yet they continued to act without consent and added new charges before withdrawing.

I was left to file my own strike-out application because they neglected to challenge a baseless claim.

All of this occurred without regulatory intervention—the SRA and Legal Ombudsman have yet to act, despite being made fully aware.

After 20 documented examples of misconduct (all posted publicly here: https://x.com/MY_Property_UK/status/1923493082579730790), I’ve paid the price in time, money, health, and trust—and no one has been held accountable.

I do not recommend Napthens to anyone seeking competent, ethical, or client-centered legal representation.

Napthens Integral Role in Applicas Growth Journey

Napthens have been integral to Applicas success since inception in 2018. From assistance with the corporate structure of the company, setting up our EMI, employment law advice amongst many other scopes of work there has never been a task too big or too small. We have grown from 1m turnover to 22m turnover during this period. Having a law firm that feels like a partner who we can grow with has made everything that much easier. Special mention to David Carr who has been my point of contact throughout, extremely knowledgeable, easy to work with and a very calm head in any situation. Thank you Napthens and heres to the next seven years!

Successful Commercial Lease Dispute Resolution by James Freeman

I am the owner of a commercial premises which is leased to tenants. Over the course of the last 19 months I have been in dispute with them over several breaches of the terms of their leases. In order to resolve these problems I engaged the services of James Freeman of Napthens solicitors. James has been extremely helpful in finding a solution to these difficulties, including representing me at court, he developed effective strategies and found solutions to resolve these disputes without alienating the people involved, with whom I continue to require to have a business relationship with. James kept me well informed at each stage of the proceedings and gave clear information as to the costs that these would incur. I am very pleased at the results James Freeman obtained for me and he made things as stress free as possible, I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone with similar problems to those which I have recently encountered.

Brilliant to deal with, from start to finish. Responsive and helpful and worked quickly to enable us to move into our new property well before Christmas, despite our buyers' solicitors frustrating everyone at times. Aaron was particularly understanding and always quick to reply to emails. Thank you!

Approached Napthens last year to take care of the contentious sale of a business for me and can honestly say I’d have been lost without them. Would certainly highlight James Stephenson for his constant and consistent expert advice as we progressed to sale and always being immediately on hand for updates and any queries. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend such a professional and dedicated company and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Thank you for all your hard work and all the best for the future
