I received excellent advice from this firm in connection with my divorce and separation from my Husband. The divorce was challenging due to overseas property and other issues but my Solicitor was very understanding, calm and knowledgable. Thank you Laker Legal, I am truly grateful for your assistance and shall return in the future should I need legal services again.

I wouldn't recommend this firm at all for their conveyancing. My case was unfortunately assigned to Jessica Blacow, who was clearly not up to the job. She spent six weeks sending emails to the wrong email address for my buyer's solicitor, without ever questioning why she did not get a reply. She held up the entire chain - I had to field so many calls from my estate agent querying the hold up. The company then incredibly charged me extra because of this! It was extremely hard to get hold of anyone at the company most of the time - sometimes I was told solicitors were working from home and there were no direct lines to them, including the director Stephen Ogden. On exchange day, Jessica decided to leave the office at 3.30pm before exchange had happened, which made the day even more stressful. Furthermore, do bear in mind they are based in Lancaster and do not have any presence anywhere else, as they falsely claim on their website.

I have utilised the services of John Hirst, at Laker Legal for a number of reasons.
My circumstances were not simple or straightforward. John was diligent, professional, human, and very supportive but also honest and transparent.
John dealt well with my difficult needs, as I am a tricky customer. He was accommodating, and resourceful throughout.
He handles stressful situations with high level of integrity and professionalism.
John was reflective and able to re-adjust his position which due to the nature of the private law proceedings, some flexibility was required.
I have already recommended John to friends and family.
Going through anything involving the law is stressful and difficult but I felt confident that John would do his very best, and although there was never going to be a best case scenario he worked hard to ensure that my position and wishes were represented accurately and appropriately.
I also felt that the team working alongside were exceptional and complimented the work ethic.

I can highly recommend John Hirst at Laker Legal solicitors in Lancaster. He was superb from start to finish dealing with a very complex child arrangements case for me. A really decent guy and an excellent family law solicitor who genuinely cares about his clients. John was fully up to speed with my case at all times and we got the outcome we wanted.

A devastating event brought us to call on Laker Legal. We were put in touch with Mr John Hirst, and from the first Moment we spoke to him we knew everything was going to be ok. We were dealing with a false accusation on my Son and had no idea on how to prove he was not at fault. Mr John Hirst, was always on the end of the Phone or Email, Kept in touch with us 100% of the time, and the support we received took so much pain off our family. We could never have coped if we didn’t have someone like Mr Hirst fighting in our corner. All i can say is Thank you so much for everything you did for us. Would recommend Laker Legal to anyone for any matter. They were so Professional and if we are ever in need of a Solicitor service in the future for any matter i know who we would call. Thank You again for everything

We did have Jess Blacow as a contact and Jess dealt with this very professional. At all times Jess kept us updated and guided as through the process. It was all a very smooth, professional and fast process. No hassle and disappointed from our side.
