Bates Wells and Braithwaite drew up wills and powers of attorney for my wife and myself. It was a fairly complicated affair, more because of the mountains of paperwork connected with the POAs than because the wills were complex or unusual. There was one small slip on one form which nobody, including ourselves, noticed but overall the whole business was handled very well.

My father past away Jan 2021 with a straight forward probate including a will that everything was to be past on to my mum, we have just received everything back in which time my mum passed away last year still waiting for probate to be sent off 4 years! With every excuse made when any calls were eventually answered. Disgusting service from probate solicitors

My wife and I instructed these solicitors to prepare our wills and register LPA's for property and health for both of us. We found Glenn Blair to be both professional and personable at every stage. Fully explaining the process and giving good advice. The work was carried out promptly and we are satisfied and reassured that, when the time comes, our family have all the information needed and the support of this solicitor's office.

In arranging the writing of a family will, I cannot stress how dreadful the service has been by G Blair. Complete lack of follow up in totality and will shortly be complaining to the Legal Ombudsman when the timescales for referral have been met.
Email responses still outstanding after 2 months and to date, still no response, left in limbo despite polite requests for update and further to having had to raise this as a complaint, not even an acknowledgement of said complaint after approx. 2 weeks.
My family have used this company for 2 generations and cannot collectively believe how far they have fallen.
Simply terrible.
