I would not recommend these solicitors they are very unprofessional and difficult to speak to. I have been trying to get LPA set up for my husband for over 18 months we have had documents going to and thro saying error we need to resign as not been accepted by the court. Surely they should check all documents are correct before submitting them to the courts. I would have thought that we part if the service I had paid for.

My recent experience with Simpson Solicitors has been the worst experience I have ever had in my 50years of using legal services. A simple Will preparation has taken 8months, having made a payment on September 17th 2024. The simple task was to add the name of my Grandaughter which was omitted by Simpsons from my original Will. In the end I had to pay for a new Will. Recently, to my understanding the Will reports that I have no Property and Financial affairs, when actually these were discussed at my initial meeting with Mia Clarke who has now left Simpsons.

Working with Fern and RightProbate has been a real pleasure. From start to finish they were supportive and responsive. Any questions I had were addressed promptly and in terms that were easy to understand. When Fern was out of office an alternative contact was provided without needing to ask for it and I was provided with regular updates throught the course of the probate process. Avoid! Shocking service at what is an incredibly difficult time. It is almost a year since my Mum passed and we are no further forward with my probate application. The details I uploaded to them initially were not processed until I chased. I was lied to regarding when the application was sent. They didn’t send the right information to probate resulting in it being stopped in January, they decided not to inform me or deal with the query until I chased them in April. They have assured me they are dealing with the matter, however they still haven’t sent the correct forms to me. The Will went to probate with damage to it which needs to be certified, the Will wasn’t damaged when I sent it. Interest costs with the mortgage company are mounting and I can’t even pay it off as Right probate can’t be bothered to send me a Certified Copy of the Will. Nobody including admin assistants or probate advisors answer my emails and I can’t speak to anyone in authority as they are too precious to take phone calls. The Ombudsman is now dealing with my complaint.

When we lose a parent it effects us in so many different ways, chiefly emotionally and financially

Family members can change in the most distasteful way when money becomes an issue
In my particular case my Mother had a small lifetime mortgage with a high Street bank that behaved in an Xtra aggresive manner that you would think they were a back street loan shark

I can say now from experience that these matters are not always as straightforward as one may wish and as an executor of my Mother's will dealing with the issues was not an enviable task

I was however amazingly fortunate in one regard in that my Mother had had the good sense to also appoint a professional Co executor Right Group

My particular good fortune was to have my case looked after by by solicitor Sianead O'connor for whom nothing was too much trouble

Throughout the several years our case took to be finalised and despite the Xtra stress caused by the Bank Sianead remained professional and focused on achieving the very best outcome for myself and my family whilst honouring and respecting my Mother's wishes

It will be no surprise that I have not the slightest hesitation in recommending Right Groups services and in particular our solicitor Sianead O'Connor
