Engaged with Thomas Travis of Butcher Barlow after having used other members of the team on a successful business sale project a few months earlier. We had an ongoing dispute with a local developer on the property boundary and Thomas proposed a strategy that ultimately achieved a successful outcome that satisfied our boundary protection requirements. Thomas and his colleagues were supportive in their updates and feedback but also encouraged our input on the programme's strategy.

I recently used Butcher & Barlow after a family member recommended them as I was having problems with a tennant and had received a letter that the company we used were replying for a cva agreement.
I got put in contact with Mark Turner who went through the info providing advice on what to do best.
Thanks to Marks advice the Tennant has now been advised and we are finally getting our property back
I would have no hesitation in recommending Butcher & Barlow as they have took away a lot of stress with there advice

Untrustworthy,shocking experience!!
Not even worth one star.
I instructed Catherine Gregson assisted by Alex Sandland to handle my case of a Boundary Dispute.
Although at first I trusted them implicitly I became worried about certain aspects of the work they were carrying out.
I voiced my concerns in a diplomatic caring way but sadly their response was rude and arrogant.
From that time things went from bad to worse.
I made a complaint to A.Higham the complaints manager but his response was also totally unreasonable.
Eventually as important court dates were being missed I had to quickly seek help and instruct another firm to get me out of the financial mess and terribly stressful situation I had been placed in by the above.
I also made a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman as I did not wish for anyone else to experience what I had been through.
Many of my complaints were upheld by the Ombudsman and resulted in an exceptional award of compensation.
These are some of the comments from the Ombudsman regarding the work of Ms Gregson,A.Sandland and A.Higham :
“Complaints handling unreasonable “by Anthony Higham and Alex Sandland.
“Delays and failures of disclosure documents,instruction of expert witness.
“Missed important Court Dates.”
“Delays in forwarding important information to Clients Legal Insurance Company.”
“Failed to resolve issues.”
“Caused unnecessary frustration “
“Exposed client to total shock and exposure to a particularly stressful situation and financial liability.”

I have been on this planet for many a year, and have had countless dealings with different people and organisations.
Perhaps I am one of those blessed or very lucky individuals, but generally speaking, all my dealings with B & B have been painless.
Having said that, I don't think that my guardian angels have anything to do with the most professional and customer friendly treatment I have received from ALL at Butcher & Barlow (NORTHWICH).
I was not expecting a ''What do you think of Butcher & Barlow'' today because I have done business with them a few occasions prior.
However, when I left their office today I told the dear lady at the front desk that I thought they were all very charming people.
