I was initially with the runcorn branch but due to my solicitor leaving the company I was transferred to the Frodsham branch. Both are about the same travel time so no real issues. Alex Williams took over my case and she was amazing always ready to give me advice be that good or bad. She helped make some difficult decisions easier to swallow by explaining everything in extremely simple terms. If I ever need a solicitor again ( I hope not ) I'll be back!

At a very stressful time they represented us in a family matter. Forgot to pay our stamp duty!

5 months on from our sale and purchase and we’ve just had a HMRC demand and fine for non payment of stamp duty. The solicitor has had it for all this time and I can only assume thought it was a bonus! Better still there is no rush to resolve it as the solicitor is on holiday so we will have to wait until she gets back as there is no one else who can put the huge mistake right!

Straight forward and effective support

This review is for a different branch.

From the first phone call, the next day appointment to the completion there was always great and clear advice and support. Though you had to go through the central telephone line, Mohammed was always reachable and pleased to help and explain what will be next. Professional advice and support is what will make me choose Butcher and Barlow again should (hopefully not) the case arises where legal representation is required.
