Michael Stewart (Scullion Law)

I was recently represented by Mr Stewart. He was very professional and helped manage my case and expectations very well throughout the entire process, He was able to keep me informed and gave me the best advice based on his knowledge and experience while ultimately allowing me the freedom to instruct him based off my own intuition after being provided with multiple options and opinions.

Mr Stewart and all those involved with dealing with my case from Scullion Law were kind and courteous and at no point passed judgment or made me feel uneasy with my situation. I would like to take this to Thank Mr Stewart and those involved as mentioned for thier support.

Regards

Garrie Crosbie

Dedicated team

We wanted to express our appreciation for Gemma’s efforts in handling our recent conveyancing process. While there were challenges along the way, her responsiveness and determination to push through the sale and purchase made a significant difference. We were also supported brilliantly by Farrah when having an inspection carried out on our purchase, and she communicated brilliantly with us throughout.

Gemma’s ability to navigate the complexities of the transaction ultimately led to a successful outcome, and we are grateful for your support. Thank you for your dedication in both our purchase and sale.

Wishing you all the best!

I was a stranger, but I found a lifetime family.

I approached four firms through legal aid, but I felt helpless, abounded, and doubtful. My parents are in Ethiopia, and I did not have friends to support me. However, I approached the Scullion Law firm and felt that I had family and friends to support me.
I have peace of mind, sleep well, and focus on my job, hobbies, and career development. On my first visit, Judith made me feel at home, and everyone in Scullion Law was the same. I have recommended my work colleagues, and I would kindly recommend and encourage others to join a fantastic, excellent, helpful, and family firm.

Excellent service from Stacey at Scullion Law

Stacey recently handled the security discharge for our property when our mortgage was paid off. Excellent service from start to finish - the process was explained clearly, fees were clear and agreed up front and the whole process was carried out quickly and efficiently. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Not the Experience We Hoped for as First Time Buyers

We recently used Scullion Law for the purchase of our first home. While the process was ultimately completed, our experience was mixed, with some standout positives but also areas where we feel the service could be improved.

First, I want to highlight the excellent support we received from the Conveyancing Clerk Mandy Terras. She was consistently quick to respond, and approachable. We especially appreciated her phone calls to keep us updated, which felt personal and reassuring. Even when our early offers fell through, she remained understanding and supportive. She really stood out as a credit to the firm.

However, once the case moved to the solicitor, our experience became more challenging. Communication felt much less frequent and, at times, unclear. As first-time buyers, we often felt like we didn’t fully understand what was happening or what to expect, and we would have appreciated more guidance and proactive updates. There were moments when important information came as a surprise, which made the final stages, particularly the lead-up to the move, far more stressful than it needed to be.

There were also some small but frustrating issues, such as repeated typos (including in our names) and missed email CCs, which made it harder for both of us to stay in the loop. Additionally, contacting my elderly grandparents via email without notifying me caused confusion and stress that could have been avoided with a simple phone call.

We do appreciate that such sales can be complex and involve many moving parts, but clearer communication and a more supportive approach would have made a big difference to our overall experience. While Conor was polite and professional, his heavy use of legal jargon, and noncommittal answers to our queries, made things harder to follow and left us feeling uncertain at key moments.

In summary, while we’re grateful for the successful completion of our purchase and for the excellent service from Mandy, we felt let down by the lack of clarity and guidance from the solicitor. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t choose Scullion Law again based on this experience, but we hope this feedback is helpful for improving your service for future clients.

Quick, efficient, professional and personable is how I would describe Darren personally. I was happy with the outcome based on my specific circumstances.

Common Assault Charge

Unfortunately I was caught up in a situation which I was charged with 2 x common assaults. This is very out of character for myself and was extremely concerned about the outcome of a court case based on the CCTV footage. I was recommended to contact Scullion Law and in particular Anna MacKay to represent me in this case. From the absolute get go Anna took control and reassured me that she would deal with everything and get all the information ready in preparation for the case. This was a very drawn out case that took 20 months to come to court. Anna kept in touch with myself and if Anna was not available then her office did. I felt completely reassured through out the process. Anna and myself watched the CCTV and I was fully aware of what the outcome could be. In the end although a guilty plea Anna presented my case so the PF and a fine was imposed which for myself was the best outcome. I really could not recommend Anna highly enough for her professionalism and support throughout this full process. Thank you Anna

Exceptional Support and Compassionate Service

Stephanie and Aimee have been nothing short of outstanding in the way they’ve supported me throughout what has been an incredibly difficult and distressing time. Their professionalism, kindness, and ability to listen with genuine care have made an immeasurable difference to me.

Stephanie in particular went above and beyond—securing an outcome that, by all accounts, would be considered extremely rare. I firmly believe that had it not been for her personal involvement, dedication, and persistence, I would not have achieved the success that I did. Her commitment and sense of justice are nothing short of remarkable.

In every interaction, both Stephanie and Aimee demonstrated patience, understanding, and a level of humanity that is often missing in systems meant to protect and support. They restored a measure of dignity and trust at a time when those things had been seriously eroded.

I cannot thank them enough for their help. They are a credit to their profession and a shining example of how the system should work.

Highly recommended—not only for their competence, but for the kindness, integrity, and sheer tenacity they bring to their roles.

I would highly recommend Scullion law for road traffic offences.
I opted for the director service, working with Kris Buchanan.
He's highly professional, a master at His profession.
Always available to answer any questions.
I was charged with driving without insurance
He got me the best result I could have hoped for, and without me having to set foot in a court room.
The crown were persuaded by Kris to treat the matter as “Not Called”
Couldn't recommended him any higher!
Thanks Kris

Had a situation where I failed to provide a breath sample to the police. Came to scullion law and went for Kris Buchanan. He was absolutely brilliant and managed to find small details within my case and worked very hard which led to me keeping my license. This was done with very little defence and only one witness. He is very experienced and knew how to deal with the judge and explained exactly how the process would go in a clear manner and kept me very calm. I managed to get the best outcome for myself on the day. Would definitely recommend.
