I instructed WB Pennine Solicitors for what should have been a straightforward property sale. What followed was a shocking display of negligence, missed deadlines, poor communication, and failure to act even when the court had granted extra time. Despite repeated reminders and my full cooperation, they allowed the sale to fall through — and I have now lost my home as a result.

This was not just a minor oversight; it was a complete breakdown of their duty of care and legal responsibility. My formal complaint is already in progress with the Legal Ombudsman, and a £100,000 compensation claim is being lodged through Sheffield County Court.

I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. If you value your assets, your time, or your peace of mind, avoid this firm.

They have not responded appropriately despite multiple emails, letters, and recorded phone calls. Regulatory action is now underway.

Emma and Susie have been super helpful with the sale of my first house especially when the buyer, estate agents and other side's solicitor have been, let's say difficult. Did not have the best experience at all I understand my house was an X new build and I understand there is a few more things needing to happen in regards to selling it but the whole process took roughly around five months before it was finally completed and that was a week over The compilation date. Any time I tried calling I was always greeted with the reception desk and any time I asked to talk to my solicitors they were always on annual leave or out of the office so constantly having to get in touch with the reception to get any kind of update or if I had any questions in my eyes, they might as well have been the solicitor. I was never kept up-to-date and it was only when I asked to speak to the managing director is when the process started to become a bit more smooth sailing.
Personally, I would not be using these guys again
